My American Dream

To honor Dr. Martin Luther King know for his famous speech "I have a Dream" I am writing about the dream I have. My dream is to graduate, to get a better job, and to keep studying at a good college and get a career. When I have obtained those goals, My American dream will be a success.I plan to graduate like many other students.

 Graduating is not the plan for some students. The reason is because they struggle a lot in school, and do not ask for help, or they have problems at their home. I can not say I do not struggle in school because I would be lying to myself; which I do not let it get to me. I ask for help, So I can understand what I am having trouble working on. I ask my friend, Geydi for help. She is good at studying and makes good grades. She helps me not fall behind in my subjects in school. Thanks to the help I have gotten, I am ready for my senor year to do even better so I can graduate.

Saving up for college mean doing a lot of work. I currently work in McDonald's a fast food restaurant. I can not say I love my job because I do not. The employees I work with are nice and so are the manager's. What I do not like about working at McDonald's is that I have to do the same thing every single day I work. I do drive through when I work in McDonald's. I do not even ask what I am going to be doing, because I know to get a head set and start taking orders. I do not enjoy doing it. I get tired of it all the time. That is why I would like to graduate and get a good career. Something I love to do like perform as a dancer.

I plan to still work at McDonald's but just to save enough money to go to college. Then on to a good college to get the studies I need to be able to get a good Career and do what I enjoy doing. The good thing about having a career is that even if you have to do the same thing every day of your career job, you do not mind at all because its something you enjoy doing.

To graduate, to get a better job, and to go to a good college is My American dream. If I achieve that dream, someday my name may be scrolling across the screen at movie theaters.

Current Connection : Jeffrey Giuliano

“A popular fifth grade teacher fatally shot a masked teenager in self-defense outside his neighbor’s house during what appeared to be attempted late night burglary, and then discovered the teen was his son”, said State police.

My current connection is about a Man named Jeffrey Giuliano who killed his 15 year old son named Tyler Giuliano. This incident happened Thursday September 27 at around 1:00am in New York. Giuliano had received a call from his sister who lives next door saying that she thought someone was trying to break into her house. Giuliano got a gun and went outside to check, Giuliano then saw someone wearing a black ski mask and black clothing. Giuliano then fired his gun when the person he saw started running towards him with a shiny weapon in his hand. When the police arrived to were the incident happened a state trooper took the ski mask off and then was seen that it was the son of Jeffrey Giuliano. (NAL)

I think that it was ok that Jeffrey Giuliano shot the teenager without knowing it was his son because, it’s like your first instinct to do when you think you’re about to get hurt. Jeffrey Giuliano didn’t know it was his son I’m quite sure if he knew he wouldn’t have shot him. I would have shot the person if I had a gun and they were running towards me with a knife. (NAL)

Current event : The Blue Eyed Butcher movie (based on a true story



This movie i had recently seen which i liked. I read it was based on a true story. The movie got my attention so i read on what had happen in real life. Which is similar to the movie. In the movie Blue-Eyed Butcher.Texas beauty, Susan Wright appeared to have a fairytale life with an adoring husband, Jeff, two beautiful kids, and close family and friends. But six years into their marriage, the fairy tale crumbles. Jeff starts to abuse her physically and sexually threw out their marriage but she decides to keep it hidden from her family and friends. Then one day she gets tired of all of the abuse she had put up with and kills her husband.Susan Wright tied her husband Jeff Wright to their bed and stabbed him 193 times with two different knives. She then buried his body in their Houston backyard. She attempted to cover up the crime scene by painting the bedroom. Susan had said she killed her husband for self defence but was it really self defence? If i was abused in any way by anyone i would go straight to the police and let them take care of it. I wouldn't ever like to kill any body.

I think in conclution that we should know what goes on and not have it hidden from us.

In conclusion you shouldn't try to live off caffeine, because you will probably, most likely die.

Crank by- Ellen Hopkins : Have you ever wanted to change something you regret doing , well i have and so does Kristina . Kristina is a teenager who goes to visit her biological father, She moves in with her biological father as well. Before she moved in with her biological father Kristina was a straight-A student. Kristina decides to change her life. Kristina creates a new identity for herself , calling herself Bree. For the first time she smokes with her father and a new boyfriend. Once back home, she can't break free of Bree, or the drug she calls "the monster." Her comfortable suburban life begins to disappear as she gets deeper into crank: She begins to do badly at a school, she struggles in to keep her grades up , steals money from her mom, and even ends up at juvenile hall.  She soon later meets two boys with whom she only has a relationship because of their connection to drugs and their ability to get them. This symbolizes the complete control that Kristina’s addiction has over her. After being raped, Kristina becomes pregnant, and after a long series of decisions, decides to keep the baby. In conclusion, all throughout her struggles, small conflicts and events were caused by Kristina’s addiction.

There was a video that American-made insulting Islam's founder it spread to the places across the Middle East on Thursday and threatened Afghanistan, two daya after assailants in Lybia killed four American diplomatic personnel, including the ambassador, and caused a foreing policy political fight in the United States. I think this will never end by hatred that you have a country to another. This happens for the U.S. attack their country is why they target us, his country attacked America first for killing many people in September 11, so we responded by killing there leader Osama Bin Laden.
